Respectful to local culture whilst providing a source of employment for locals. As part of the Mason collective, The Bench also makes regular donations to local nonprofit organizations + charities.
Local residents are prioritized in hiring, with Indonesian staff in the majority of management positions.

Food delivery boxes for take out are paper & biodegradable.
RO filters to recycle all of water, use recycled water for all of the venue's plants.
Supporting local banjar and local community through employment opportunities as well as fixing the short cut, tree planting initiatives, orphanages, schools in Lombok, sponsored schools that have strong education programmes in sustainability (i.e., in waste management).
The Bench is accessible for people with disabilities, including bathrooms.
