THE PUNCH LIST 2026
Experience Bali Beyond the Surface
Experience Bali through moments shaped by craft, creativity, and care. These authentic encounters move away from spectacle and toward participation, inviting visitors into spaces where art, wellbeing, and tradition are lived rather than displayed.
From quiet art exhibitions and hands-on indigo dyeing to immersive wellness retreats set in forests or fields, each experience is guided by people deeply connected to their practice. Time slows, conversations deepen, and learning happens through doing. Rather than ticking off attractions, these experiences encourage presence—listening, observing, and engaging at a human pace. They reveal Bali through its makers, landscapes, and daily rituals, offering insight into how the island is felt as much as seen.

NYSA AT CUSTODIA
Nysa offers a week away for founders and leaders seeking clarity. Set in the forested mountains of Bali, the experience unfolds in quiet—free from meetings, noise, and distraction. Days move slowly through stillness, reflection, and time alone or in gentle connection with others. Surrounded by the Jatiluwih landscape and Batukaru forest, guests step away from daily momentum to reset, think clearly, and leave with renewed focus and grounded direction.

TIAN TARU
Experience the art of indigo at Tiantaru, as jungle dyeing takes place beside living plantations. Indigo is grown, processed, and transformed by hand, with visitors learn- ing natural textile practices surrounded by Bali’s quiet forest landscape setting.

SUN CONTEMPORARY
Sun Contemporary operates as an artist-led gallery and project space, presenting contemporary work by Indonesian and international artists. Founded in 2024 by artist Ricky Lee Gordon, the space is guided by the Buddhist concept of Śūnyatā, where form and emptiness co-exist. This thinking guides curation. Across two floors, exhibitions sit alongside talks and interdisciplinary collaborations that bring artists into dialogue. The gallery supports residencies and collaborative projects. Participation in international art fairs extends this exchange beyond Bali.

KEVALA CERAMIC STUDIO
At Kevala Ceramics Studio, time slows as hands meet clay. Visitors are welcomed into working spaces where skilled artisans share techniques built through years of practice. Workshops range from simple hand-building and painting to wheel throwing and detailed decoration, with options suited to adults, children, or private sessions. Each class offers a grounded introduction to ceramic craft, led by patience, precision, and quiet focus.

JOHN HARDY MASTER CLASS
At the John Hardy Workshop, the Immersion Masterclass opens the doors to the craft behind the jewelry. Held at the Kapal Bamboo Boutique, the experience begins with a guided walk through the artisan workshop and archive. The session balances learning with making, allowing guests to understand materials involved in each piece. A family-style long table lunch brings everyone together.
