SUSTAINABLE BUILDING & DESIGN
Innit Lombok was designed in collaboration with leading Indonesian architects to reflect sustainable architecture that honors the land’s natural beauty. Built using locally sourced, natural materials, the structures follow the untouched contours of the coastline, blending seamlessly into the environment. Native flora was preserved and enriched with bamboo and fruit trees, whose harvests are shared with the community. Where local materials weren’t available, alternatives were sourced domestically, ensuring minimal environmental impact and a strong connection to place.
CULTURAL PRESERVATION & COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Innit Lombok places the local community at the heart of its story, building deep relationships through trust, respect, and collaboration. From construction to daily operations, the resort has created stable job opportunities, provided skills training, and supported education and healthcare access. While preserving the village’s traditional way of life, Innit empowers residents by embracing their culture and offering long-term growth through employment in roles like boatmen, engineering, and hospitality—turning the resort into a platform for shared progress and transformation.
TOWARDS ZERO-WASTE MOVEMENT
Innit Lombok is dedicated to a zero-waste philosophy through simple, effective on-site practices. The resort runs its own waste sorting facility, where food scraps are composted, plastics are collected and sold by locals, and glass bottles are saved for future use. To reduce unnecessary waste, single-use items like slippers and shower caps are only provided on request, while all toiletries are refillable and organic. Innit also sustainably farms lobsters for its restaurant, supporting local food sourcing and lowering its environmental footprint.
