JOHN HARDY
Founded in Bali in 1975, John Hardy is a jewelry house built on handcraft, time, and shared knowledge. From the beginning, the brand has worked closely with local artisans, using traditional techniques that prioritise precision, durability, and continuity. Every piece is still made by hand through the Artisan Collective, where makers are recognised as skilled professionals and collaborators. All silver and gold used is 100% reclaimed, supporting a closed-loop approach to materials. In Bali, workshops and boutiques are built with bamboo and local materials, integrating lightly into the landscape. Responsibility here is treated as ongoing practice, shaped through craft, sourcing, and community over time.

FAITHFULL THE BRAND

LOVEJOY
Lovejoy is a slow fashion label based in Bali, founded in 2020 by Poornima Lovejoy as a considered response to excess and speed in fashion. Collections are small, seasonless, and built around essential pieces designed to soften, age, and last. Natural materials such as linen and silk are dyed using plant-based processes in Singaraja, creating subtle variations unique to each garment. Production remains fully local, with pieces cut and sewn by hand at a measured pace. Offcuts are reused, stock is kept minimal, and sales follow need rather than calendars. Lovejoy offers a quieter, more attentive relationship with clothing.

FLOOK THE LABEL
Flook’s brand values stand first with Bali, the place where creations are born, and designed by women for women. Here, women lead the intricate, day-to-day crochet work, their art shaping each piece, while men also lend essential skills in the production process. Although they could opt for outsourcing to China for faster turnaround and lower costs, Flook remains steadfast in their commitment to Bali’s hand workers, understanding that such a change would mean losing a part of their soul. This devotion to authenticity is what has brought them success, allowing them to share a story as rich and unique as the island itself.
